hospitality/Koinonia Ministry

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Acts 2:42

The breaking of bread has always facilitated communication, and has been used as an opportunity to share a word of encouragement or just lift up a hungry soul. Stephen is a great example in the  Bible, as his ministry involved setting up tables and feeding the widows and orphans. The next time we see him, he’s being stoned to death for the gospel as the first martyr. This is the spirit in which we want to serve the body of Christ. It may seem like cookies and coffee to some but it is an opportunity for fellowship and showing love to a stranger or neighbor.
